James A. Heaton ~Lead Guitarist for EXISTANT

About Me

Hello World, I am James Heaton
I started playing guitar around 1985. After seeing Eddie Van Halen play on a MTV special, I bought a guitar from a neighbor (Sears Harmony with two single coils).
I discovered Jimi Hendrix shortly after while listening to Sting do a cover of Little Wing. My devotion to Hendrix has lasted longer than most things in my life, and Hendrix influenced my style more than anyone else. My two favorite Hendix albums are BLUES and South Saturn Delta, of course my favorite songs are Little Wing and Voodoo Child. Nobody has played like him and nobody ever will, he was a God amongst men and will forever be the greatest guitarist."
While in college in Savannah Ga., I played guitar for the world famous band, Yuk Foo. After a lull (due to hand surgery in 1997 and shoulder surgery shortly after) I have return to the musical world and I am now working on forming another world class band.
I am located in Greenville SC.
Currently I am working on my upcoming 2nd album, not yet titled. It will be a Satriani-esque project like the BAT ALBUM, which was inspired by Batman comics.
THE BAT ALBUM
My last recording project, is the Bat Album, songs inspired by my obsession with Batman, it showcases one side of me, my high powered rock instrumental side.
