DTNO, cest un groupe de rock indé résidant sur Paris.
Sur une base solidement rock, leur son laisse place à des sonorités parfois plus pop, punk ou funky Chant en français, gros riffs et part belle aux mélodies résument lalchimie de ce rock puissant, planant et incisif.
Influencé par des groupes comme Rage Against The Machine, Noir Désir, System Of A Down, Queens Of The Stone Age leur son trouve son identité et son originalité dans lénergie dégagée, les textes et le chant assuré par les deux guitaristes et le batteur, les ambiances intimistes, festives et rageuses.
En 2004 les potes denfance se retrouvent sur Paris et commencent à écumer les bars rock et les salles dÃŽle De France. (Le Gibus, Mains d’oeuvres, la Java, Péniche Alternat, la Flèche dor, Espace B, ...)
Ils rencontrent Freddy Martineau et Marc Damblé, deux ingénieurs du son qui ont collaboré avec FFF, Orishas, Feist, Amadou et Mariam et qui décident de mixer leur premier album, ainsi que Daniel Besace (Éditions Carnets Livres) qui va les suivre pendant un an et amasser une pile de photos sur le groupe.
La synthèse de ceci sera leur premier album avec un support en édition limitée : illustrations, photos, pochette carton et tissu, livret de 30 pages le tout relié à la main, pour proposer un support artistique et artisanal unique.
DTNO is an indie rock band from Paris.
With a strong root in rock music, their musics also punctuated by pop tones, punk elements and funky rhythms. French lyrics, heavy riffs and a great emphasis on melodious rhythms typify the alchemical mixture created by the band members : a powerful, mind-blowing and whiplash rock
Mainly influenced by bands such as Rage Against the Machine, Noir Désir, System of a Down, Queens of the Stone Age, etc., their music derives its flavour and distinctiveness from its thrashing energy, its lyrics and vocals featuring the two guitarists and the drummer as well as its intimate, festive and fiery atmospheres.
In 2004, the four childhood mates all ended up in Paris and they started gigging in the rock bars and music concert venues of Paris and the surrounding departments (the Gibus, Mains duvres, the Java, the Péniche Alternat, the Flèche dOr, etc.).
They met Freddy Martineau and Marc Damblé two sound engineers who worked with FFF, Orishas, Feist, Amadou and Mariam and decided to mix their first album as well as Daniel Besace (Carnets Livres publishing house) who piled up numerous photos of the band after following them for 12 months.
All this has resulted in the release of their first album, an album with a limited-edition packaging a hand-sewn hardback edition of 30 pages covered with printed-patterned material containing illustrations, photos and text so as to offer a unique handcrafted and artistic piece of work.
