Our new online shop and website is now up and running, (although it may be a bit sparse to begin with).
bands from the area who want us to sell their CDs or records via the site are welcome to get in touch, and we also feature a local gig guide, so send us details of upcoming shows. There's also a forum, so stop by for an argument if you fancy. The new site can be found at cobrecordsbangor.com , and will hopefully grow over the coming months - let us know how we can improve it.
Some background:
We're an old-style independent record shop on the High Street in Bangor, North Wales, where we have been trading since December 1979. Initially part of the same company as Cob in Porthmadog (see here for the full story), we have been independent since 1995.
We stock music of all varieties on various formats, mainly vinyl and what our assistant manager likes to call Satan's sparkly pancakes (CDs to the rest of us), as well as a large selection of DVDs and lots of other stuff.
In addition to all the latest releases, we stock a wide range of back catalogue and second-hand CDs, LPs and DVDs and will buy your unwanted items for cash or part exchange (so long as they're in A1 condition).
Being an independent record shop based in Wales, our selection of Welsh music in particular is unsurpassed, including many titles which lack wider distribution.
If you're in town, drop in for a look around, or drop us an email if you're looking for something in particular or have any items you want to sell.
Our current stock of second hand items is now on sale online and is updated daily. So far, we've only got round to listing the 2000 or so rock and pop CDs, but will soon be following up with the specialist categories and vinyl LPs - check it out here
