About Me

we were all in bands before this one... gabriel came from mineral. tim and joel came from feed lucy (tims brother ryan was the singer and tim played bass). matt came from fall into the seer and yellow leaf (among others). chepo was in sincola and a number of other great bands. erick was in sparta and schatzi. shane was in schatzi. francis was in fourth grade nothing among others. we all came together to make, what we thought, was the music we would actually love to listen to. over the years we toured the world and met a ton of people. we were the best of friends and, at times, the biggest enemies (maybe... a little dramatic for written sake perhaps). however, we have, to some degree, stayed in touch.... at the same time reaching out in new ways... expressing ourselves through music. now, the members of Pop Unknown have gone on to carve their way through life in different ways. chepo is now touring with David Garza and is playing in a few other bands, erick was playing with The Start and is writing and recording his own music these days, gabriel played drums with America is Waiting for a while and is now a happy father, tim and shane formed The Cutaway and play shows here and there, tim is currently working on a project with guitarist mike groener (the cutaway/clap!clap!/line and verse) that should be ready for your listening pleasure soon, joel and matt formed Svengali and now a project called Ideas, burt runs Ballyhoo Withdrawal Records, francis formed Drive 'til Morning, matt, joel, erick and gabe started Kissing Chaos that is no longer around and casper is happily married with three daughters and an amazing wife!
