Cara Lee's singing career began at age 17 when she snuck into a bar to see a friend in a singing contest and entered the contest at the last minute on a dare and won! She has been singing and entertaining crowds ever since.Cara Lee attended Sheridan College's Musical Theatre program in Toronto, Canada where she is from. When she graduated from college she began touring the resort
circuits with show bands and then touring the country with original bands. Cara Lee was awarded the Sheridan College Alumni Award (for success in the pop music field) in the late 90s and then a Factor Music Grant (Canadas record demo Award) a year later. She has recorded her own songs as well as singing lead and back-ups on many people's albums.After being discovered by world famous John Stuart from Legends In Concert in Las Vegas Cara Lee shows her versatility when she begins performing her tribute to Cher. Debuting with Legends In Concert at Ballys in Atlantic City, Cara then went on wowing audiences all over the United States and worldwide including Belfast, Ireland; Melbourne, Australia, and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In recent years Cara Lee returned to her rock & roll roots when she began doing her tribute to Janis Joplin which has been received with rave reviews and standing ovations. Currently Cara Lee and her husband have a production company in which they produce many different shows such as Celebrity Idols Live, Funkytown, That 80s Band, Rock & Roll Divas and Woodstock Revisited.
An accomplished singer/songwriter Cara Lee has written and recorded with many well known musicians such as guitar player/producer Steve Farris (Mr. Mister, Rod Stewart, Whitesnake) and bassist /producer Phil Sousan (Ozzy Osbourne/Billy Idol).Cara Lee is currently working on her first album as she continues to perform live.
At the moment she is performing in Righteous Brother Bill Medley's show 50 Years Of Rock & Roll at the OC Pavilion where she is also producing her own show Rock & Roll Divas.
