There are no remainders in the mathematics of infinity.

About Me

"I do not feel obligated to believe that that same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended for us to forego their use." -- Galileo
"Life's journey is not to arrive safely at the grave in a well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out shouting 'Hot damn! What a ride!'" -- unknown
"My philosophy, in essence, is the concept of man as a heroic being, with his own happiness as the moral purpose of his life, with productive achievement as his noblest activity, and reason as his only absolute." -- Ayn Rand (see under Books)
"The truth is more important than the facts." -- Frank Lloyd Wright
"There are many things in life that will catch your eye, but only a few will catch your heart -- pursue those!" -- unknown
"Courage doesn’t always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying 'I will try again tomorrow.'" -- Mary Anne Radmacher
"If at first you don't succeed, try, try, again. Then quit. There's no use being a damn fool about it." -- W.C. Fields
"I would have said, 'Jesus was a rebel too'..." -- bva ;)
I'm 36, but I feel like a 21 year-old with 15 years of experience. I'm into live music, especially Brian Vander Ark, but I'm trying to keep it closer to home for a while. So, look below to where you see "Demand it!" and click on it for me, would ya? Maybe then bva will come to Winchester! ;)

My Interests

community musical theatre (Apollo Civic Theatre) , roller coasters
( American Coaster Enthusiasts , too), cross stitching (123stitch has a great message board) , reading, road trips, traveling, SE Alaska, sailing (though I haven't been in a while), motorcycle riding (as a passenger -- my license is good for nothing). I'm a cat person (I currently have 5, much to my husband's chagrin.) I especially love Meezers and volunteer with .

I'd like to meet:

Amusing people who have intelligent things to say or common interests. Contrary to what my photos might look like (love that live music!), I'm not much interested in the personal lives of celebrities -- just real people.

My AOL S/N is TrudiP. Don't bother if you don't know me and/or don't have something interesting to say. If you're from MySpace, include a link to your page please.

I support:

Music:

Movies:

As Good As It Gets, What Dreams May Come, O Brother Where Art Thou, Liar Liar, Say Anything

Television:

What About Brian, CSI, House, Grey's Anatomy, Gilmore Girls, Desperate Housewives, Prison Break, Boston Legal, Heroes, Studio 60. I don't get cable out here in the boonies, and I'm not inclined to pay for satellite. So, if it's not broadcast TV, I'm not watching it (except on DVD).

Books:

Most recently: "Lost" (by the author of "Wicked")
Most importantly: "Atlas Shrugged" by Ayn Rand

I'm a voracious reader, but have been slacking for other interests lately. I mostly enjoy fantasy, science fiction, and thrillers, but I'll read just about anything -- give me a cereal box and I'm happy!

Heroes:

My Great-Uncle Alvin (--click for newspaper article and see my Pics for more photos), who recently celebrated his 101st birthday!

To blog or not to blog...

I have plenty of thoughts and opinions, but does the world at large really care what they are?  If so, what are the limits on how much one puts out there for public consumption?...
