Mac and Juice are a two-man acoustic force hailing from Wilmington NC. Originally formed
in Greenville NC in late 2000, Brian Raynor and Mac Nelson met in college, skipping music theory class to get lunch and talk about how they should start playing music together. After a few nights of packing out open mic crowds of 100+ (just to see them play a 15-minute set), the duo realized they had something very special. In the eight years since they have made friends and impressed crowds everywhere they travel; next year will see the release of a full-length album and extensive regional touring. Their diverse catalog of material showcases immense stylistic versatility, all the while retaining the ever important fundamental element of honest, heartfelt song-writing. The shows consist of a balanced mix of Jazz-influenced instrumentals, followed by Bluegrass romps and Country ballads, only to be furthered by mixed-meter, story-telling rock progressions. The pair believe that no one musical influence should be the answer to a complete formula; if you like it all, why not play it all? Rest assured that the music executed by Mac and Juice is every note genuine and sincere, no matter what genre the songs can individually fall under. One might ask: How is this all able to work together? Simple: it just does.
