I read voraciously. This list could be long. My favourite writer is Charles Bukowski. My favourite book is A Prayer For Owen Meany by John Irving. I like Scottish fiction, including: Iain Banks (not the sci-fi stuff though), Christopher Brookmyre, Alan Warner, David Deans, Alan Bissett, and James Kelman. Who else do I like? I already mentioned John Irving, there's Henry Rollins, Charles Dickens, T.C Boyle (well I like some of his stuff - for example The Road To Wellville is genius and yet A Friend Of The Earth is garbage, so be careful what you read!), David Baddiel, J.M Coetzee, Louis de Bernieres. I loved the book The Gospel According To Jesus Christ by Jose Saramago, but I read some more of his work and found it didn't come close. I sampled some Russian writers recently and enjoyed Cancer Ward by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn and The Double by Fyodor Dostoevsky. I'm always looking for something new, so hit me with suggestions.
