i'm a bit too old for boys, shopping and hanging-out with my peeps. but chat about the folk music scene, nuclear energy or broadway musicals and i'm a bonfire.
ppl who think i am atlleast moderately cool.
it'd take hours to list my favourite artists. i'm eclectic and prolific and even a bit snooty at times when it comes to music. if it is the soundtrack to yr life, it better be good. i've just written a country western song. my first and last country western song. it's something we all have to do just once in our lives. then, we must never speak of it again. but mainly, i'm into folk, soul, funk, trip-hop, anything sarah mclachlan-esque, and anything that makes me move and groove.
for someone who rarely goes to the flicks, i really dig films. for example, but not exclusively ... harold and maude, cinema paradiso, 8 1/2, shawshank redemption, life is beautiful, the corporation, billy maddison, school of rock, brokeback mountain, lord of the rings, the usual suspects, american beauty, and pretty well anything by jim jarmusch.
i'm so over t.v. if i'm stressed, i do enjoy an hour or so of crap t.v. you know the stuff, chewing gum for the brain. absolutely pointless thoughtless crap. it soothes an over-active mind.
i am big into tom robbins at the moment. "another roadside attraction" changed my life. usually, i get crazy into an author, read all i can, then get crazy into someone else. tom is my man at present. i've forgotten jack kerouac, carlos castaneda, thich nhat hahn, david suzuki, j krishnamurti, margaret atwood, stephen hawking, etc etc.
gandhi, j krishnamurti, johnny depp, astroboy, nurses.
