God. Need to ask some questions and rant for a long time. Lucifer. For mainly same reasons as above. Of course, this list is hinged on the fact that such forces/ entities really do exist.
It's strange, but I don't listen to much music. Don't really know why. Probably because my brother is into it and I try to distinguish myself from him in any way I can. I totally have the youngest child syndrome. That said, I do have the weirdest collection of music on my computer. There's some angry German rock music, a bunch of Beatles and Pink Floyd, The Doors, some weird stuff that I got from brother, a bit of Techno/Electronica, Green Day, Lifehouse, a bunch of musicals (I really want Avenue Q, I pretty much have everything else), some Italian music, modern day Rock, a bunch of computer game music (Remember Commander Keen?) and to round everything out, some VeggieTales. My music is pretty much governed by what I can't stand which includes pop, country, rap, hip-hop, any annoyingly repetitive music, and I also am not a huge fan of Gospel or Christian rock. Christian rock is mainly pop music anyways, only the "baby" and "lover" are replaced with God. Same diff, pretty much according to Feuerbach.
Donnie Darko, Spirited Away, foreign films, independent Films, Homeroom, Elephant, AI, The Young Poisoner's Handbook, The Incredibles, Howl's Moving Castle, Totoro, Hitchiker's Guide, Star Wars, and pretty much anything that has dark humor or is a pyschological thriller kind of thing.
ER, House, West Wing, Degrassi, Third Watch, Law & Order: SVU, Nip/Tuck, Numbers, Simpsons, Malcolm in the Middle , Andromeda, Mutant X, Judging Amy, Rescue Me, Summerland, Everwood, Wishbone, probably some other random things. I grew up without cable(and still don't have it unless I'm at college), so all I know is pretty much network TV and the PBS shows I watched as a kid. I miss the shows Early Edition, Dark Angel, John Doe, WonderFalls, and Mysterious Ways. And I wish Third Watch would come out on DVD.
hard SF, Gregory Benford, Rudy Rucker, Spider Robinson, Robert J. Sawyer, David Zindell, Artemis Fowl, the Young Wizard's Series, Give a Boy a Gun, School Shooting, Dark Materials Trilogy by Philip Pullman, C.S Lewis, David Feintuch/The Nicholas Seafort Saga. I pretty much read SF and whatever YA books/ kiddie lit books look interesting. And I mix random stuff in with that. Both my parents are librarians, so I've read a ton of books. And I somehow have managed to acquire a lot of random knowledge about books in general. As in pretty much any SF, fantasy, YA or kid lit book, I've either read it or heard about it, and could probably find the book for you in Barnes&Noble even if you just gave me a vague description.
Don't have any really. I might give up people/characters I could consider if you press me and I might tell you why I don't have any heroes also. I supposed I would consider the antiheroes of Grendel and the Miltonian Lucifer if I was forced to say something. As for the normal hero type, maybe Nicholas Seafort...but then again he sees himself as more of the antihero and we're still in the realm of literature. In regards to real people heroes....
