I am a Toronto-based graphic designer. I have a store at CafePress, Compassion Fashion , which reflects my interest in animals and animal rights. I've been vegan since 1992, and a mother since 1998. I live with my son, 3 rescued cats, 2 rescued African dwarf frogs, and a rescued betta.

I haven't had a television during my adult life (a reaction to my father having the TV on constantly when I was growing up, no matter how stupid and boring the show was.)

Books:

I read constantly.Currently I'm reading about gardening with native plants (I don't have a garden right now, but I can dream). I grew up in the country and really miss the spring wildflowers.

Heroes:

My great aunt, Margaret Liggett, who was blind since birth and became a teacher of the blind, travelling around western Canada teaching people many skills (which meant she had many skills herself).
