About Me

For over 14 years, I have been an award winning freelance flash and web designer. Some of my major clients are Warner Brothers, The Discovery Channel, The Science Channel, Slime Tire Sealant, and Rivet Entertainment. My Life: I spent over four years in the U.S. Coast Guard. For the first two years I was stationed on the High Endurance Coast Guard Cutter Hamilton. The ship was 378 feet long, and had 180 personnel onboard. We traveled to Alaska (Kodiak, Juneau, and Adak), Seattle, San Diego, Panama City (went through the Panama Canal twice), Cartagena Columbia, Puerto Vallarta, Guantanamo Bay Cuba, the Dominican Republic and Haiti. Our main jobs were to enforce maritime law, search and rescue, drug interdiction, and immigration interdiction. After leaving the Hamilton, I went to specialty school to become a Petty Officer, and was then stationed at the Coast Guard Marine Safety Office in Long Beach where I became an environmental response officer and boarding team member for incoming foreign vessels. While I was in the Coast Guard, I also worked with the DEA and spent time in Columbia as a sniper with a ten member crew. During my military career, I earned 13 ribbons and 3 medals. In 1993, while serving in the military, I started up my web design business as Dynamic Design, and in 1999 became Fearless Web Design. Since my web design career, I have won 48 international awards for design, layout, and originality. From an early age, I have been heavily involved with music and music theory. I took guitar lessons when I was 8 (beginner and then on to classical). Then, when I was in 7th grade, while visiting Old Town San Diego, I fell in love with the sound of the trumpet from listening to a Mariachi band. My mom did the rent to own thing for me back then, but when I got into high school, my grandfather bought me a Silver Plated Bach Stradivarius TR200S Bb trumpet. After High School, I played with an orchestra and toured 11 countries, playing 21 concerts. When I returned home, I was offered numerous college scholarships, but I fell ill and had to have my tonsils taken out. The surgery was botched and my tone and pitch became messed up... so I gave it up. Later I played again while I was in Coast Guard boot camp but dropped it again after graduation. Maybe one day I will get back to it?I love everything from Philip Glass to Skinny Puppy. To me, Peter Murphy and Mark Lanegan have the most powerful voices, while Radiohead and Calexico have the best music arrangements. My favorite songs are: Regret (New Order), Where Is My Mind (The Pixies), Scatterbrain (Radiohead), A Forest (The Cure), and Enjoy The Silence (Depeche Mode). Music has been the biggest inspiration in my art, whether I am doing graphic design on my computer, or sitting in front of a drawing pad and sketching.I am intrigued by; music, art, architecture, human emotions (the joys and sorrows), how people act and interact in different situations, how the human race can pull together and stand for what they believe in (which doesn't happen much anymore), and the way nature presents itself in so many ways.
