First and foremost thank you for taking the time to see the artistic creations of Gunnar.Gunnar has created a distinct style and a solid reputation in the over crowded field of tattooing. His art conjures up visions of seaside victorian villages filled with beady-eyed, three fingered kids and Lovecraft monsters. He has worked hard for the reputation he has earned with over 11 years of professional experience . His influence can be seen in many up-and coming tattoo artists, as well as, some of its veterans. His success in tattooing helped transition him into a successful reputation in the fine art world as well.Gunnar began his professional tattoo career in Connecticut in 1997. In May 2001 he opened the internationally known 'GODS AND MONSTERS' tattoo studio in Columbus Ohio . In 2004, he worked with NEW FOUND GLORY to develop the look for their album 'Catalyst' and the tour. His work was also seen in New Found Glory's "ALL DOWN HILL" video. In May 2005 Gunnar closed God's and Monster's (r.i.p.) and relocated to southern California. In 2006, Gunnar had his first highly successful solo show at Warp 9 Gallery in San Diego, California. Gunnar's clients have included musician/model and myspace whore Jefferee Star as well as members of New Found Glory, Finch and The Used. Gunnar has designed clothing for To Die For as well as SteadFast Brand. His tattoo flash designs can be found in tattoo studios around the world and his book and seminar helped ambitious artists develop their art and style.Gunnar tries to be a very open and helpful artist. He continues to try and push his own artistic techniques to keep his fans smiling. He takes pleasure in answering questions and helping artists develop their skills to create better tattoos. However, in an attempt to continue bringing new art to the fans, his time is limited. Feel free to write, but please be patient.
