Spending time with Jesus, reading, singing, playing the piano and guitar, bonfires, snowball fights and anything else in which you get to wrestle in the snow, hiking, camping, climbing (too much fun!), watching lightening, getting soaked in a thunderstorm and then proceeding to play in all the mud, dancing (especially salsa and swing!), road trips (two prerequisites for a fun road trip: good company and yummy snacks *grin*), thinking deep, having adventures, getting to know interesting people, gleaning wisdom from those who have been around much longer than I, discussing issues ... that's all I can think of for now.

Jesus Christ ... course, I'll have to wait till Heaven for that ...
I positively LOVE Phillips, Craig, and Dean! They are one of the very few bands who I am willing to buy a cd from without having heard it before. I also love Paul Alan's Falling Awake. GREAT cd - perfect for playing on a road trip! Also one of the few that I can listen to in its entirety without skipping a song! I also enjoy Charlotte Church's Enchantment, purely for the musical and vocal quality. She truly has an amazing voice. Josh Groban for the same reason. As far as musical styles go ... The vast majority of what I listen to on a day-to-day basis is Christian contemporary/praise & worship. I also like and appreciate country, jazz, oldies (don't you roll your eyes at me!), gospel, classical, swing, salsa, flamenco, and probably more.
The Hunt For Red October (I NEVER get tired of watching that movie), El Cid, The Magnificent Seven, Pride and Prejudice (the BBC version), Ever After (that has got to be the most classic girly movie ever), Glory, Gladiator (I generally can't stand those violent movies like Braveheart and Patriot, but for some reason I actually liked Gladiator ... I haven't figured out why yet), The Last Samurai (besides the whole worship of an idol thing, that movie was incredibly stirring ... I believe it awakens in us the desire for real men with strength and courage, bravery and self-sacrifice. The thing is, one can have all those qualities, and yet use them to fight for the wrong cause. There's just so much more meaning behind what you do when you're living for Jesus ... sorry ... I'll get off my soapbox now), The Emporer's New Groove (I LOVE that movie!), Newsies, Shall We Dance (the old one with Ginger Rogers) ... Oh! How could I possibly neglect the classic: The Princess Bride. =)
I never watch television. I generally consider it a waste of time.
Oh gosh, this could take a while ... The Bible, of course, is a given. C.S. Lewis is simply amazing. Mere Christianity is unrivaled in my book. I love Pilgrim's Progress by John Bunyan. Hind's Feet in High Places by Hannah Hurbard is amazing as well. Practicing the Presence of God by Brother Lawrence. That book is absolutely incredible. Dr Paul Brand's book (he co-authored it with Philip Yancey), The Gift of Pain, is probably one of the most fascinating books I have ever read. As for fiction ... In His Steps by Charles Sheldon is an awesome book. The Lord definitely used it in my life. I will read anything by Ted Dekker, and I own almost all of his works. The Circle Trilogy (Black, Red, and White) is my favorite simply because the spiritual insights are astounding to me. Francine River's trilogy, the Mark of the Lion is awesome. Hmmm ... The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, by Mark Twain. Great book. Okay, enough for now.
Can you guess? Jesus! =) I have other people I look up to, and hope I'll be like, at least in some areas, but He is my one and only Hero.
