this is what I do

About Me

Based out of Vancouver, British Columbia, and I received my bachelors in jazz studies, performance major from Capilano College in the spring of 2006. During that time I studied with Chris Tarry (Metalwood), Andre Lechance (Brad Turner Quartet), and Jodi Proznick. I co-lead modern acoustic jazz group 'the october trio' with Evan Arntzen - saxes (Amanda Tosoff Quartet), and Dan Gaucher - drums (Fond of Tigers/Butless Chaps), and I was recently selected for the 2007 Fraser MacPherson Jazz Scholarship. In 2008 I attended the Banff Center International workshop in jazz and creative music under the direction of Dave Douglas. Some of the people I've performed with include Brad Turner, Ron Samworth, George Mcfetridge, Steve Fisk and Jillian Lebeck. In 2008 at the ITG conference in Banff, I performed with Ambrose Akinmusire, Ingrid Jensen, Dave Douglas, and Mike Murley.

I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
