George AKA Squeeze The Editor

About Me

I'm a native New Yorker, raised in Uptown Manhattan, on the West Side. I was raised like so many others by a single MOTHER. I’m of Dominican decent, that’s Afro Caribbean for yous that don’t know. I'm married with two young sons. I’m the creator and Editor of Coup D’Etat Illustrated Magazine. It was blessing to grow up in the area that co-created Hip-Hop culture along side with the Bronx. And I just didn’t sit there watching it develop, I got down and contribute to its growth. I grew up in New York when everything was Outlaws gangs (pre Hip-Hop). La West Side Familia ran things in my hood, and THAT'S MY FAMILY FOR LIFE. I was a graffiti writer in my early days, my tag was “Sen One” and I was down with the world famous graffiti crews “IBM”, and others like Mos,“FC”, and a few others. In the early 90’s I enter the music business. I rolled with a group called “Menagerie” that was on the Sony label. The music business was sick in those days. We rolled with everybody from Biz Markie, Eric B, to Price Markie D, to Nice and Smooth, shit I could go on for days, and the stories I can tell, forget about it. It was a sick time. In the mid 90’s, I was a member of the Black Panther Collective the only recognized organization and formation to carry the Black Panther Party's name. After the group was dismantle in the late 90's, I went on to create a political online magazine called FlashNewsMag.com with my older brother who is a book illustrator with oil being his medium. We also created an adult website called FloodMasters.com and owned Harlem Boxing/Synergy gym on 125 street. We would later drop all our business ventures because of a FED case I was fighting at the time. But I’m still proud of FloodMasters.com it went on to become a big adult search engines. Anyway now with a few partners we got Coup D’Etat Illustrated and it’s the only real political Hip-Hop magazine/book on the market with true Hip-Hop and activism creditability. So thanks for the support, and lets take back what’s ours. Please visit the link below to preview Coup D'Etat Illustrated:www.lulu.com/content/1209674Home | Browse | Search | Invite | Film | Mail | Blog | Favorites | Forum | Groups | Events | Videos | Music | Comedy | Classifieds
