Radical, Revolutionary, Innovative, Anointed, and Real are some of the words often used to describe Min. Lockett. Johnathan T. Lockett the only child born to Mr. Johnny R. Nelson & the late Janet Denise Kyles-Lockett on September 18th, 1986 has had the hand of God keeping and guiding him from a little boy. Now, at the age 21, this ministry driven young general has inspired hundreds of people across the nation to be purpose driven young men and women of integrity.
Crossing cultural barriers and helping to bridge the gap, he has taken on a large responsibility in being a kingdom builder. Despite the early tragedies and mishaps in his life, he has managed to triumph with a sound mind and a stronger determination to reach the goals and visual plans that he has set to accomplish in his lifetime.God has blessed Johnathan with an awesome testimony of living a saved life through-out his years in high school and college. Johnathan believes that if it can be done once, surely it can be done again. “For whatever you purpose in your heart to do, you can achieve it.†God has also anointed him to sing under the power of the holy ghost. In recent years, he has been able to travel the southern belt of states and minister through song at numerous events.
Johnathan is blessed to have a wonderful and caring step-mom, Christina, two brothers, Nicholas & Isaac, and an outstanding grandmother who raised him and reared him in the church (Mother Mary L. Brown) and a host of family and friends.Johnathan accepted the call into ministry in 2003 and did his first message March 7th, 2004. He is currently serving as a member and minister of the Harris Temple C.O.G.I.C. At the beginning of this year, he was appointed as Administrative Assistant to Senior Pastor William K. Ellison. Johnathan also represents and serves in his local, district, Jurisdiction (Alabama #1) and in the national body (C.O.G.I.C. Inc.) under the leadership of Bishop C. E. Blake.
