About Me

TIF puts the F.U.N. in funds. Gotta do something to pay for a potential Olympics. A friend was working on a rehab for a wealthy developer who pulled out a TIF credit card that was used at Home Depot to pay for several thousands of dollars worth of materials. The conversation moved on to Stroger and the like. He exclaimed to me, "I can't believe people aren't kicking down these people's doors and dragging them into the streets in disgust." Don't they have video games for that sort of thing yet? Anyway,it's good to know that I'm helping someone in great need. I was speaking with a woman a few months back who told me that John McCain will probably be our next president. She said enough of America isn't ready to vote for a black man nor are they ready to vote for a woman. I wonder if she is correct. I love to spend an entire saturday afternoon creating new and exciting sounds for my ears to wallow in. Music affords me tremendous peace and inner happiness. It's probably the only thing that I can do on a regular basis that enables me to forget about pretty much everything else. Very Zen like for me. Bike riding is a close second. It's my favorite mode of transportation. I would ride everyday if it weren't for the quaalude habit. 3,350 miles in 2006. I may beat that this year but who knows. I really want to hit 4,000 but that's highly unlikely due to the wood and strings thing. Love to fly up hills and again back down them. REALLY love to ride in very strong downpours with lots of thunder and lightning at high rates of speed. Everyone should do that at least once before they no longer can. I'm avoiding a road bike cause I know once I get one, the old stumpjumper is just gonna collect dust like my tv. I'm also avoiding getting an ipod for the rides. Not ready to mix the two. That's just plain spoiled rotten for me. Can't wait to hit the Chicago River trail to the gardens again. It's been much too long. I wish more people would ditch their cars and fad diets for the self reliance a bicycle has to offer. $7 per gallon of gasoline should take care of that. I once read that the AVERAGE Chicagoan spends nearly $8,000 yearly on their vehicle. You could get 1/2 of a front row seat to Barbara Streisand for that kind of cash. Or hire Jennifer Lopez to sing at your birthday party for 9.178 seconds.
