Last night was just....awesome...it was WOW. Seeking Asylum was an amazing band. Usually I can't stand chick vocalists, but Shawna amazed me and I have no complaints with the band or her voice. A-MA-ZING. =D I kept watching the bassist to see if I could learn anything- I learned a little, but other than that I couldn't see much... the guys who were recording the act kept passing in front of me, lol. - Brandi
08.19.05 - Seeking Asylum was WOW, awesome in concert! With Shawna's spectacular powerful vocals and amazing stage presence married into a great supporting backup of awesome musical talents. First off, the guitarist has the sounds of Slash from Guns N Roses with the leads and harmony all rolled into one awesome performance that you will soon never forget, then you have the bassist who is unbelievable on stage. This guy gives you what you are craving for plus some. Believe it or not during concert he actually jumped off stage not once, but twice while playing the bass and pumping up the crowd while never missing a beat. The drummer is awesome in his own skills as well. He would keep people rocking to his great rhythm on the skins even when twirling the sticks he never missed a beat. He can keep the sticks going anytime for sure!
Seeking Asylum is a dont miss band. With the great stage performances married into the great lyrics and sound you will not be disappointed. I have personally seen all age groups get into the style that makes Seeking Asylum so unique. Whatever you do dont miss out on the Seeking Asylum train. A must BUY CD for sure!!!!!

When Darkness Falls is Sweeeeeeet........... Oh my god, Ive just fallen in love the most beautiful voice in the world, and I dont even know your name. This song kicks in all catagories! Structually there is nothing to improve on. The guitars are really cool and just seem to compliment that awsome singer. Pat Benetar rings a bell. Drums and bass are also well played and in sync with this well produced gem. I can't wait to see who you are, so I can buy the c.d. and play it over and over in my surf room. You're a really great band with the potential to become even greater. Keep it coming and let me know where I can buy the cd. I love ya!!!!!

When Darkness Falls is a cool song.. I can tell straight off when the guitar comes in that the production on this song is going to be great... you have an awesome chunky guitar sound! Drum sound is wicked too with nice patterns and fills, which is often where a lot of songs fall short. Mix is clear and the vocals are at a nice level above the music. Its great to hear some female vocals in a metal song. You guys are definitely good at what you do. Id like to see how you perform live. Keep up the good work! - kitschgirls
YEAH BABY YEAH.. VOCALS.. Great vocals on When Darkenss Falls, great feel, kinda like Lucuna Coil, or Power Symphony. Nice feel over all good level on the bass, nice bottom end work, this blends greatly, nice drum work, guitars are not in your face but it works for this song and it works nicely. I would like to hear more from this group.
This woman oozes sexuality in Save Me. Diggin it. The contrast between her and the heavy music gives you a great deal of marketablility potential. That is no lie. I like the held notes filling in the back tracks. Very Led Zepplin..Heart. The desperation in her voice is amazing. She connects. Sorry, I got obsessed. As far as the music..band they were great but overall the production was lacking. This song should be recorded at a top notch studio.

Save me! Haunting and spooky intro with nice key work. Drums are like thunder claps in the distance, and then strike like lightening. Bass is holding on for dear life but dishes out the goods admirably. Guitars are like chainsaws cutting through flesh and bone like butter. The siren singing this tune could easily draw wayward ships dangerously close to shore. Good harmonies. Nice production and mixed. Performed with a lot of energy. Great effort. 'Save Me' is an amazing roller coaster ride through and through. Just when you think its going to end you'll be pleasantly surprised where it goes next and when it does stop you'll be back in line fighting for the front seat to ride it again and again
Haunting.. 'If I Die Today' weaves a seductive web. Beat changes, passionate vocals, good dynamics, and thought provoking lyrics add up to a good song and a creative production. A personal preference for this writer would be a bit more volume on the lead vocals as they are well done and deserve it. Good tune overall!

Ooh! This song at first strikes me as a combo between Garbage and Evanescence. Very cool. It's reminds me a little bit of "Heart", too. I love all three of those bands so very cool. The drums are awesome. The part I like best is around 1:44, I like the change in mood. Ohh yeah, the intro, I liked the harmonics, very cool. This guitar solo is pretty mean, cool Eddie Van Halen-esque technique going down. I like the little breakdown towards the end and then the building of energy on the outro. Very cool, I like the sound.

At first I thought..... Oh no....not another Evanescence sounding band. The soft intro brought that out of me. But then you surprised me like no other song has done in quite some time. This is a very soulful song and doesnt go to over the top with the sound. The changes in the song just keep coming but everything blends well together. A little better production quality could enhance the guitars which are outstanding. The provide a melody for the singer to make it even more melodic. This song rocks out and has soothing qualities as well. -John - UnitedFront - Biloxi, Mississippi
Beautiful, sexy voice of a siren..I love the darkness when the strong chords come in. Singing tone matches the soul of words and your right with that great guitar, so nice. Strange little accent on your voice. Hard 80s sound, if that's what your going for. However... at 3:00, the importance in vocalist's tone with said lyrics has faded dramatically. The great, guiding soul and power in vocals and guitar at the beginning grows to a mere implication of soul and power at the end. Singer was leading at first, but then withdrew a bit. Bass is very tight throughout. Drums are fine. Mix is really great, letting the singer really take the stage. Pete Mascenik - Alameda, California
Sweet female vocals............It's nice to hear a quality female vocalist. Good phrasing, style and pitch. Reminds me a little of Pat Benatar. I like the hook and the lyrics are well thought out. I like the guitar sound in the intro. The low tone in the verse and hook set off the vocal nicely. The bass line is appropriate but Id like to bring the tone out more, it gets lost in the mix and the keys a bit. The drums sound exceptionally good. Nothing flashy but does this song right. Id like to add just a little more punch from the drums on the accents. I like the airy break in the bridge at 2:40. Nice touch. Good track

Your band remains the best-kept secret in the music business. You are a..... heart breaker, good song, sounds like pat benetar..thats a good thing, you have something here. good job! terry paul, Seattle, Washington
?..i dont really know what to say about this song. it is completely original.
i cant even think of anything to compare it to... which definitely is not
a bad thing! i think the production is alright and the vocalist definitely
has an original voice. pretty good.
kevin gill - Greenwood, SC
This song builds in nicely. This girls vocals is sensual and sexy. Reminds me of Pat Benatar. The mix is good. I think with the right songwriting this voice can do many things. odd jasper - Senatobia, Mississippi
She's the star! Hear alot of classic 80 metal influence.
Female vocal: Nice tone, smooth with a little growel - Nice touch. Guitars and Bass: All right, Drums: Ok they didn't really stand out. Think if the production was a little higher end the vocals would not get lost in the begining. She has a great voice dont drown her out.
Scott - Pompton Plains, NJ
nicely arranged..instruments and vocals make this otherwise average composition much more than average. the heartfelt lyrics go well with the powerful guitar-riff and the steady drumming in a very simple but good production. - vilberg

Great Rock Voice. The vocals on this track are outstanding. A superb voice with excellent range. The song itself lags some in the middle directly before the solo kicks in, perhaps a guitar in the higher ranges to offset the lower in distorted guitar some. Good song overall. colesj from Pasadena, California
vocals!!...... the vocals are solid...... love the guitar. hard to hear some of the lyrics. like the guitar solo at about 2min 30 sec. chours is solid...... nice break down. rock on!!

80's production rocker..
This song is definitely well recorded. The mix is very clear, I can hear each element distinctly--which I like. The production sounds a bit 80&..39;s Glam, on account of all the reverb on drums and vocals, the big lead guitar, sweeping tom-tom fills--so if you guys are going for arena-rock, I think that's what you've recorded. Now, as to what you'd sound like live? I could imagine it rockin the house in a venue large OR small. It was a catchy, if not overly original, rock-out tune. Definite hooks. The female lead vocals are a selling point. Overall, I give it high marks.
Carl Kunz - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
heavy.. juicy.. Immediately, I want to meet this singer! An intoxicatingly sultry voice surrounded by a heavy rhythm similiar to Evanescence. At times, the vocals could sustain the weight of the song better if they were stronger. Tasty little guitar riffs establish the hook and melody from the intro. Nice drum work without going over the top as many do with their double kicks. Good arrangement and song structure. Nice ending as well.
Patrick Duffy - Ojai, California
not bad.. awesome drum fill going from the chorus into the verse!! It sounds a little like there is just a little too much bass and the only reason I say that is because of her high vocals,... which by the way are really good. It is hard for me to enjoy female vocals with hard rock like this but you do a great job. and the lead is solid as well. I also like the bridge the guitars and drums mix awesome. I am personally a fan of the delay pedal so you got me with that one. nice sound I would attend a concert for sure.
