Some call it coincidence. Some would say it was meant to be. Never the less when you look at John Disco and Alexander Maier aka All*Star you know that from the very beginning on it was very clear that these guys would get on very well.
John Disco started spinning the Wheels nearly 10 years ago in the Southgerman Metropole Stuttgart. No good and exclusive Event or Club he didnt manage to fire it up! Calling DJ Sneak as his prophet, his way in the beginning was clear. With the Years he created his own very unique Music Style between Disco /Funk/ House/ Techhouse/ Electro/ Rock and Techno that brought him out of town and Gigs almost everywhere in Germany and outside.
Alexander Maier aka All*Star has different roots. At the beginning of his career in 1989 Alexander played underground Techno Music. Over the early years he got more and more influenced by the Detroit and Chicago house stuff, so he quit with the Techno stuff in 1994 and became one of the few local house djs in stuttgart.
today DJ All*Star belongs to one of the most popular and (inter-)national booked DJs of Stuttgarts Tech- & Electrohouse-Scene. His discography has nowadays reached the age of almost 15 years. Alexander Maier more considers himself to be decent. He has the ear for underground productions and so you can hear on them the high-quality standard he always tries to serve as main dish. So is L.E.A.. The last Single who has been released in June 2005 on Exun Records caused lots of troubles on Dancefloors worldwide and got charted by many recommended Wheel-Spinners such as Fafa Monteco, David Duriez or Linus.
Now lets come to the point. John Disco and Alexander Maier aka All*Star together form one of the most dangerous and superb Soundsystems in Stuttgart and the big area around. To describe their style gets more and more difficult because it always sounds unique, never the less focused on the unique crowd. It includes different Roots and musical Styles as: Minimal Electro House Techno Whatever! It has to kick and flip people around, so that nights become unforgettable.
Their genre-specified trilogy of releases Barfuss, Elite and Dekadent (including great Remixes by Thomilla (Part of Turntablerocker) and Gunjah) really put foot. Their following EP Plattenbau on their Home-Label Pop Up Trash Rec. proved that kLEINkARIERT definitely can do more than Clash showing the whole electronic spectrum in front of them, using the best of everything. This shows their latest Single Puppies (PUT007). Really long-termed hymnic elements combined with kicking minimal parts makes the track seem as it is from another planet. Remixes for that track by the way- come from their good friend Arne Rasimus and DJ Silversurfer from Berlin.
KLEINkARIERT also show with their residency at the famous Cine Colibri Club in Stuttgart month for month alongside great actors of the international dance-scene (such as Justus Khncke, Abe Duque, Martin Landsky, Phonique, Guido Schneider and many more) how sweet and rocky our Southgerman attitude can be.
