DJ Nunez starts his adventure through dance music in 2002.
At a club in his area and in friends' parties, as well as other djs' partis, the passion for uncommon sounds made him buy his own DJing material and get more serious about his objectives, organizing various parties with friends, where he played with some of the best regional DJs. At this point, he also attains his first residence.
In 2003, he decided to go frelance and plays in various bars and clubs, such as Rocks, Registo Klub, C&C, Insonia, Bar do Kais, among others.
This mobility earned him an invitation to play at Semana do Mar 2005.
His sets are intense journeys, where you can hear anything House-related, from Funky to Techno, Progressiv and a bit of Electro.
With all these musical surroundings, in 2004 he decides to start producing, and his first track "Azorean Drums", that was received with applause from various quadrants in dance music, just like his remix for "Solid Textures", from DJ Vibe & Pete Tha Zouk, that was played by almost all portuguese headliners.
A highlight in his producing career until now, is a partnership with Hugo Rizzo, for "Mighty Drums", a track that was released on Event Productions, featuring remixes by Carlos Fauvrell and Kobbe. The record was featured on Juno's Sales Top 10, and also on a compilation by Marcello Castelli.
His tracks have been played by, among others, PETE THA ZOUK, FRANK MAUREL, CARLOS FAUVRELLE, VICTOR CALDERONE, RICHIE SANTANA and MARCELLO CASTELLI.
In 2007 he starts Tanira Recordings with Hugo Rizzo and Mike Kings, an ambitious project that wants to release the best national projects.
At this moment, DJ Nunez is in the studio finishing a new track and some remixes. Stay tuned!
