A brief introduction, I'm 22 from South London, I love DJing Liquid & Dark Drum 'n' Bass, I have a beautiful little girl called Megan who is 3 & I have a lovely boyfriend (Catalyst) who I have been with over 6 years & loving every minute.Add reqestes will be great also let me know how you found me :),,Well lets tell you a little more about myself then - Well my name is Kimberley AKA DJ Hotstuff or K.I.M, nutstuff or most people call me little Kimmy.
,I'm 5'1 yea & ashamed, I think it's too much smoking haha every one I know are taller than me & yea I do get cussed well cut that short lol.,Anyways every one I know, know's that I'm a right nutta & yea I sometimes do come out with words & they make no fuckin sence as MR2 would know as it's shown in out new years eve video haha (Well I was just a little tispy that night hehe).I have two tattoos and two ear piecings, I support ARSENAL & if anyone wants to cuss my team, I will come back with harder cusses and I can assure you that.I'm a full time mummy Monday - Saturday & Sunday I work part time in Bexleyheath. I have a great boyfriend who I have been with for nearly 7 years (in September) & his a great dad to our little girl.I'm on myspace to srictly network with other DJ's (Including Girl DJ's) also I would like to make some nutty friends also to meet other mum's.Anyways there is more to read below & it will explain everything how I got into Drum 'n' Bass & how I become a DJ (Hope it does not bore you hehe)Well it all started when I was around 5/6 years old I was non stop listening to Reggae, my mum was always blarring it out even when she was cleaning & driving about, she loved listening to Bob Marley, Gregory Isaacs & Dennis Brown but she as so much Reggae I just don't wanner write all these artists down lol, I know I was young back then & didn't understand lyrics bit I just loved the instrumentals thats when I switched to listening to music all the time.I was well happy when my mum gave me her old CD player I never watched television, I was always in my bedroom pissing my family off haha, also back in the day I loved borrowing my mum's NOW CD's she would go mad if I touched them then when I got older I wished I could do something in music, I really wanted to play the drums but I didn't have no confidence to do anything about it, When I started secondary school, my mum got me my Sony 3CD player, which was fuckin heavy! I then started listening to old skool garage & some drum 'n' bass but I was probably introduced to Jungle/ Drum 'n' Bass by my nutty cousin Tracey.I started listening to Soundz FM, Kool FM & Rude this is when I realised I wanted to become a DJ and I wanted a pair of decks.When I left school at 15, I was non-stop listening to Drum 'n' Bass & proper into the vibes & bass. I used to lock myself up in my bedroom and piss my mum off with the hunning bass pmsfl, the only time I saw my family was when my dinner was cooked & on the table hehe.I then meet my boyfriend when I was 16, When I found out he was a Drum 'n' Bass DJ I was well surprised & proper glad that we had something in common, he helped me build up my confidence & taught me on his Technics 1210's it took me a while to practice but I was getting there and still am improving.I was begging my mum so much to get me some decks and then just after my 16th birthday I finally got my Numark belt drives hehe better than nothing, which I was proper happy about, then I started purchasing tunes from Maidstone (Plastic Surgery). My first ever tune I brought was Bass Ass hah then I went too HMV where they were doing like 3 tunes for a tenner hahah (Well I thought I start somewhere hahaha), I then started to shop at Vinyl Conflict & got chatting to Jev, he was a crack up. I also went to hard to find records & redeyerecords.I always thought to myself that I wish I could work for a record shop and then in February 2004 I worked for Nakedbeatz, then I left in July 2005 because I had my daughter Megan to look after.My first DJ set was on www.ukrumble.com at the end of 2002/2003 with the support of my feller DJ Catalyst, Alx, Gumbo, MC Carnage, Skinz, MR2, J-Swif, Gilli & not forgetting DJ T and also Kerse you nutta. I was so pleased to play on a station, at this time I was into decent Jump up, it made me build my confidence more to know that I could actually get some where. It was wicked meeting bare headz up the rumble studio as well.All big up's go to Gumbo because me, DJ Catalyst & MC Carnage did take over his show around 2003/2004.I want to big up Nikki T for the b2b we did as well in 2004.I also would like to big up SFR for the split shows we had done on rumble in 2005.Would also like to big up my feller DJ Catalyst for everything you have done for me.It's now 2008 & not at the moment on any station, I have been asked from bare internet stations if I could go DJ for them but it's quiet hard to tie myself down on a regular set as it would involve me sorting out arrangements out for my daughter to be looked after & it can be hard to do that, I would love to go back onto a station tho. (I would love to do guest shows as well) Hopefully some time this year 2008 I will hopefully be on a station.For 2008 I will be doing a mix at least once a month. Just to show you that I'm still on it. :)
I'm also getting involved with production & love every minute of it & have started a tune with my feller.I love meeting up with MR2 & Lana they are such a wicked couple, they always make me laugh, also I love meeting up with Skinz his Lady Connie, Carnage and his sick recorded vids he does at work. hahah, Keza (Ear plug man), DJ E (My teddy bear hehe), Gumbo ( When he anit at wrk hahaha) also Nikki T. BIG UP ALL THE RUDE FM CREW!Also would like to BIG UP my little sister Kayleigh and my brother Karl - Ever since I have moved out of my parents house we seemed to be closer than before. My sister & I are always chatting on the phone or on the net, we never argue anymore, My bruv is funni, his into his hip hop & plus I can cuss him because his a Man United fan so we have or difference's hahaha but we do get on great as well.Just wanted to BIG UP all the Rude FM family again always sorting us out!I love going to Drum 'n' Bass raves, I cannot stand going to house or R'n'B clubs I just can't feel the vibes there. hahah but D'n'B raves ohhh yeaaaa hhahah & if anyone knows about any d'n'b events please send me an invite. :)I would love to meet up with one of my listener's Suki, she as supported me through ukrumble and she is a great mate even tho I have not meet her hehe, I want to thank her for all the gifts she as sent Megan, the teddy bear you gave Megan as not left her babes hahahah it's half dead now hahaha.
