"Long Island's ambassadors to the strange, beautiful world of underground indie. Their fearless symphonies of keyboard voices, abstract guitar chords and
haunting vocals display nothing short of true artistic vision."

"...Closing out the night was a band that Tom at Beery's had been whispering in my ear for a while, Robbers. These guys play a tight and lighter flavor of indie rock, very layered and textural in it's sound with a mix of guitars (3 in fact!) and keys."

"To my surprise the opening band was a band known as Robbers. The crowd was hardly in the mood, but the set the played was quite the opposite of the first two attrocities we had to sit through. This indie band haling from Long Island, New York had a sound that could only be described as beautiful. The lyrical work was quite amazing and the instrumentals that backed the vocals were just as good if not better. The Bass guitar sounds coming from such songs as "Say This" and "Fire" were pretty sick, as most of the people around me shouted to one another as they jammed. The Vocals on the demo were amazing both live and recorded, ranging from classically beautiful and mellow, to abtract sounds of the voice, that at times made me think I was at some kind of rock festival listening to two bands at once. All and all they were quite interesting. GREAT by my standards which i set pretty high and they were so enjoyable I would say that the music they played and the feeling in which they played them with made them a bit more enjoyable than the headlining act."

"I came in as Robbers was mid set. These guys are an indie rock cocaphony of strange. Very abstract at times, and yet hauntingly beautiful as well. There's lots of guitars, keyboards and often crazy lyrical vocals. I never really know what to make of them, but I think that's part of their charm."
