LUPER DUPREE, the brainchild of singer-songwriter, author and Southern California native Troy Amidon, was formed not long ago in Los Angeles. Troy’s previous musical group made a few albums, toured the USA extensively, and garnered much success in the college and underground scene which led to a national distribution deal. On the cusp of commercial success, a member of the band disappeared which led Troy into a few solitary years of writing and soul searching and thusly, LUPER DUPREE was born. During the span of that time period, Troy went through an almost insurmountable surge of tragedy and grief due to the loss of many of his close friends. As a result, Troy wrote his first full length novel, Living and Dying in Los Angeles, and these songs from “LD in LA” which go along with the book as a soundtrack.

Troy is a writer of non-fiction, fiction, and poetry, as well as an accomplished musician and songwriter from Southern California who has toured the USA many times over making albums and operating his own record label.
