MUSIC.."preferably the kind that makes the hair on the back of your neck stand up". I'm OCD when it comes to music (no lie). I absorb it like a sponge just as much as I release it like a fire hydrant.Anything Tapworthy.Psychedelics, Drum circles, Western Culture, Pyro antics. Music Trivia, Music Theory, Stringed instruments, Percussion, Amplification, Digital Effects (Audio Modulation, Reverb, Delay, Manual Flange) Sound Engineering, Tropical Storms, The Ocean, Astronomy, Psycology, Quantum Physics.
All that have inspired me, and vice versa.
Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Jefferson Airplane, Pearl Jam, Primus, Dead Kennedys, Stone Temple Pilots, Alice in Chains, Tool, Soundgarden, Cream, Nirvana, The Doors, Toady, Sponge, U2, Metallica, Napalm Death, The Offspring, Children of Bodom, Jane's Addiction, Korn, A Fire Inside, Sublime, Weezer, Megadeth, Deftones, The Police, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rage Against The Machine, System Of A Down, Blind Melon, Talking Heads, Camp Kill Yourself, Faith No More, Norma Jean, The Bled, A Perfect Circle, Duran Duran, English Beat, The Cure, Depeche Mode, Silverchair, Live, Placebo, Mr. Bungle, Van Halen, Third Eye Blind, R.E.M., Filter, A Flock of Seagulls, Dire Straits, The Rolling Stones, Credence Clearwater Revival, T-Rex, Deep Purple, Steppenwolf, Carlos Santana, *mental overload* this was just the music i was raised with...so it kind of sticks with me, i guess. There's tons more, i just cant think of them right now. I'll listen to a musician or orchestrated music often for a combination of 3 different reasons.1. For technical analysis; To observe instrumental skills/absorb physical techniques. 2. Spiritual analysis; to observe, experience the art of ambience, simplicity, chemistry, and patience. 3. Nostalgic purposes; To reminisce; Time travel. (imagination required); relaxation/meditation.
For the most part, i'm not a fan of movies...other than the classics, and anything crazy, rediculous...obscure.
that 70s show. anything CKY/jackass related, VH1 behind the music, COPS.
I dont really read for fun...but i've read out loud for a living. My experiences (not my degrees) have shown that reading in verbatim is amusing to me. But aside from that, U.S. Army Survival Handbook, The Guitar Grimiore: Scales & Modes.
All of those who have inspired me, including my friends and family.
