"Burning Red" is the new incarnation from the remaining members of the florida band Scars of Life, who changed singers and ended up with an entirely new sound. Unable to keep their orginal identity, the band decided to start over as a new group altogether and move forward with a new lease on life. The groups sound can be described as energetic groove hard rock with a taste of metal.
In early 2006, the remaining members of what once was "Scars of Life" found themselves without a singer or musical direction. Kyle Shapiro had left the band a few months before and Jason, Joe, Chris and Anthony were left in limbo not knowing where to turn next. Over the next few months the band began writing new music once again in hopes of pulling the band back together to move forward. After a short but extensive search for a new singer, the group met Frankie (footer) kalin through mutual friends, who almost immediately became the new voice of the band. During this time of transition, the band wrote almost an album's worth of songs in only a couple months and got more comfortable with Footer at the helm. What emerged from those writing sessions did not sound at all like the band's previous music, so the decision was made to start fresh as an entirely new group. So was born "Burning Red". The guys quickly jumped into the studio in March 2006 to put together a demo for management and to show to scars of life's old fans. The band is currently working on getting back into playing live shows in May and possibly recording a full album.
