There's just something about audio guys. I can't quite put my finger on it...

About Me

I love that I know what SNAFU stands for and it makes me giggle. I love that I can read Harper Lee, Joseph Conrad and Nora Roberts and appreciate them all equally. I love that I have discovered something I enjoy doing and found a way to get paid for it. I love that there is a small, furry-faced friend who is so excited to see me when I get home that he has to try really hard not to pee. I love that when I unexpectedly stay the night at my parents house I don't need to borrow pj's because my mom keeps some for me under the pillow in my old room. I love that there are men in my life who can make me feel gorgeous when I am disgusting and exhausted. I love that there are a million things I want to do with my life and I have all the time in the world to do them. I love that I'm not ashamed to admit that I've slept next to the same stuffed rabbit for twenty-four years. I love how I feel in a dress. I love that I've done things in my life I'm not proud of, but I've learned from each and every one of them. I love that I can eat what I want without feeling guilty. I love that I can watch Army of Darkness, Bloodsport and A Walk to Remember and appreciate them each equally. I love the fact that you can judge all of these things about me and I won't care. The important thing to me is that I love.

My Interests

I'm not interested.

I'd like to meet:

Brian Krakow.

Music:

The Who, The Sex Pistols, The Wreckers, The Ramones, The Clash, Tom Petty, Kenny Chesney, The Aquabats, Arlo Guthrie, Kingston Trio, 7k, Rally For One, Frank Zappa, Less Than Jake, Led Zeppelin, Toby Keith, ACDC, Miranda Lambert, Xavier Rudd, Black Sabbath, The Offspring, Rancid, ZZ Top, Roger Miller, Suicide Machines and, yes, the 'A Walk to Remember' soundtrack (I'm a sucker for tearjerkers...). Oddly, I've also been enjoying a select few classical composers lately as well. Ravel, Daugherty, Prokofiev, and, uncharacteristically, Mahler. I suppose if you're exposed to enough of it, you're bound to discover something you can tolerate...Oh yeah, and anything on Moser's car stereo.

Movies:

Yes.

Books:

To Kill a Mockingbird, my Hacker Manual and the Thinker's Thesaurus.

Heroes:

I feel as though a hero is someone you aspire to be like. In that case, I'm not sure I have a hero.

My Blog

Young Americans

I've taken pride in the fact that I've hated 'here' for the past two years, but there are a lot of people that I wholeheartedly love that I never would have met if I hadn't come back 'here'. I have me...

You Can Check Out Any Time You Like, but You Can Never Leave

She's like one of those girls who thinks being in their 'secret club' will solve all her problems. She convinces herself of this fact so wholly that being accepted becomes her driving force and ulimat...

A Better Place

I used to be in a place where everything wasn’t falling apart. My life was making sense. Here I can count on one hand the number of people I interact with that entertain thoughts deeper than the...

Here’s my question...

IS IT HELPING, OR HURTING?I've never been the best at telling people how I really feel. It's just not my strong suit, and this is something I've complacently come to terms with. I get it from my paren...

Girls

I hate them. Every single fucking one of them. I hate them, and I hate being jealous. I hate them for making me feel jealous. (clearly, PLJ, you don't count, but mostly we stopped going after the same...

Dr. Gregory House

"Two pools of blue that remind me why I'm afraid of deep water. The combination of hoping I know what's there and having no idea what's going on makes me panic. My thoughts scatter and I'm left with ...

From Patricia

Here, Patricia insightfully sums up my (our) life. Read, learn, and accept:"You know what I have realized way more since I came here. You and I are so ridiculously alike, it's kind of scary. I too, do...

The Middle Name Theory

An explanation of the silly middle name thing, well worded by my BFF:   There is no scientific evidence supporting the "Middle Name Theory." It is simply a compilation of experience. If it does n...

Saturday

I lower myself down onto a faded pink towel and allow worn sandals to slip off my feet. I plunge my toes through the warm surface of the sand to the cool, shady grains below, yet untouched by the day'...
