The Jarmains formed sometime around "The Ten Day Party" in the summer of 1995. The original line up was Bradley Brock on bass, Ben Earl on Sax, Bryan Farris on guitar and vocals, and Chadwick Johnson on drums and vocals. Later Bradley dropped out of the band and Ben took over on bass. The number of shows The Jarmains played could be counted on two hands, not using all fingers, but the point of this band was more about writing music than to play shows. In 1996 they went into the studio and recorded a seven song EP that was sparcely distributed throughout Florence. The Jarmains disbanded sometime around late '96 but kept in close contact and remain close friends even to this very day. The three members of The Jarmains will all be back in Florence, in September, for the first time since January 1998. A reunion is imminent!
