THE RISE OF DRIVE US:
2004, after the split of his hardcore band Kelvin, Mark begins to write some personal songs on a cheap acoustic guitar. Armed with an awful collection of material he meets Ludo (guitar) in a private sauna club. Together they worked on some rock stuff between Kerouac, Johnny Cash and Mark Lanegan. Ludo brings out influences like The Cure, MILF and Cuban robusto, where the feelings of Mark are mostly turned on hardcore things, sex toys and songwriting with an Ardbeg bottle. Later on, Martin (drum) joins this improbable crew with a specific rhythmic at the same time airy and jazzy. Unfortunately he was 12 years old... After the recording of their first EP called "Rosebud", their bass player Laurent leaves the band to serve a prison sentence because he has made wild goose sacrifices lasting of some satanic masses. Since then this son of a witch has been replaced by an alleged prophet called Thierry (born Theresa). Rolled like a Cuban cigar, the romantic-crooner-rock of DRIVE US is ready to let people into their smoked out world.
