About Me

----------------------------- I compose. On paper or a computer. I compose music that might involve traditional instruments, it might involve electronics, it might involve modified instruments. Most of it nowadays uses unequal distance on x and y axis. In other words, might have non-standard tunings and rhythm, that is rethinks the idea of pulse. I want to create music where there's an elastic feel to the rhythm and the intervals create an aura of stillness.-------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------------------Some labor has to be done in order to execute ideas that don't fit into current standardization. Therefore I'm know working on programing a simple animation software based on pd/Gem for notation. I also often modify instruments (usually cheap ones) to get tunings that I like.------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------I've been playing recently with bands/projects such as Hestbak, Nix Noltes, BenniHemmHemm, Son of Gunnar Ton of Shel, Island Boys, Snarsveit Reykjavikur, Satelite, The Manners, Fiesta Indie and various random groupings with random improvising musicians.-------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ --------------------------------I've made music for a short film (along with friends) and theatre. I've written music for ensembles such as Aton, Quartet San Francisco and Hestbak.
