Smashing Time

Thanks for dropping by.We are a London band called Smashing Time and we take our name from the 60s film starring Rita Tushingham and Lynn Redgrave.As a band we have some pretty diverse tastes that take in classic 60s rock, funk and soul aswell as jazz and more modern influences such as the Jam, garage legends The Barracudas, Nine Below Zero and even a pinch of Madness. In fact if we had to sum it up in one sentence...Smashing Time play upbeat 60s influneced pop.Following a support slot with Nine Below Zero in 2000 we were invited to join Dennis Greaves in his new Truth line up (see www.thetruthonline.co.uk). A successful British tour followed in 2001. If anyone has any photos or video clips we'd love to see them.We have appeared at various festivals including Guilfest and the Rhythm Festival to great reviews.
