We have four audio clips from callers in this episode ending with a great example of the adictive mindset dont judge her to harshly as we are all selfish in this deal and it is something we work on. Her honesty allows us to examine ourselves as well it should.

Addiction is very serious business and sometimes so can recovery but it is important to remember that we are learning how to ENJOY life today. This means we must also learn how to let our playful child like side out to explore the world if we are ever to find freedom.
The hardest thing we have to learn to do in recovery is ask for help. It threatens many of our core beliefs that we must know everything to be safe. It makes us feel vulnerable and exposed to others which can be nothing less then horrifying. And yet we are able to do it we will find it is nothing less then courageous.
Self Acceptance is possibly the most important form of acceptance there is. The greater our love for ourselves the more love we have to give out. Listens as Bruce walks us through this topic in his own style discussing all kinds of topics including ego, arrogance, perceptions, and many more all directly related to how much Bruce thinks he is awesome.
It all starts with acceptance. If you have not accepted a problem you cannot really find a solution to it. Listen as Bruce Wayne explores acceptance from early recovery to his resent issue with HPV (genital warts). Lots of great information involving both.
Defects of character can be a great tool to discover the issues that lie deep inside of us but if used improperly and powered by shame they only make the problems grow. Explore your defects with love and understanding of where they started. Listen as Bruce Wayne explores many aspects of this truly difficult part of the recovery process.
Recovery is about behavior modification. It is how we save lives, why is it that we do not employ the more effective positive reinforcement method more as apposed to the less effective negative. In this podcast Bruce Wayne discusses many ways in which the fellowships can better utilize positive reinforcement to improve the amount of people working a program. Positive reinforcement has shown it self to be one of the best forms of behavior modification plus adding to the individuals self esteem as they meet the goals set before them.
These are only suggestions, come up with your own ways to use this tool to help people and feel free to post them here.
*sorry about audio quality the next one will back up to spec - blame the dog*
Listen as Bruce Wayne explores traditional ideas of unconditional love to his relationship with his new pup. Exploring the ideas of love, responsibility, and trust the epitome of which can all be found with our canine friends. There are many things we can learn about these beloved creatures. They can also show us how far we have come with our program.
Learn about the true meaning of unconditional love through the eyes of Franklin a young Dachshund who only knows trust when it comes to human beings. There is nothing we must do to earn this trust and that is the true beauty of it.
How does this relate to recovery? Well listen and find out.
“Its a wonderful life” is a story of a man, George Bailey, who has spent his entire life running a building and loan but has nothing to show for it. Never fulfilling his dreams to circle the world and build “great things” he finds he is in crisis, broke and possibily going to prison he considers throwing away gods greatest gift for the life insurance. But God has not giving up on Mr. Bailey yet and in the end he may just find out he is the richest man in town.
This is probably the greatest Holiday story of all time because it reminds the viewer what is really important. So I hope you enjoy this classic from Frank Capra yours to download now.
