About Me

Hey Everyone. My name is Jon, and if you've ever met me you probably know that I love drums. I also enjoy a nice glass of scotch, and of course my friend Baxter here. At the end of 2006 I joined a band called Steel Train and have been on the road with them since. In the fall of '07 we released our new album "Trampoline", which we worked incredibly hard on and are extremely proud of, so please check it out if you can. I feel music encompasses so many aspects of life, and spans the physical, intellectual, and spiritual elements of being. This is mainly why I love playing as much as I do. I've been playing for a little under 10 years, studied jazz and some other contemporary styles @ NEW SCHOOL UNIVERSITY and CITY COLLEGE, both in Manhattan, and before Steel Train I've been in and out of countless bands in the NY/NJ area. I've been playing professionally for about 3 years. In this time, (especially after leaving college in Summer '05) I've been super lucky enough to play with many great artists, for many great fans, at many great venues in a good portion of the U.S, U.K. and oddly enough, Iceland. If you'd like to know anything about me other than the music I play, please don't hesitate to say what's up. Thanks a lot for checkin' this out..........................P.S.
