The Superstitions

Its like the Sonics backing the Shangri-Las!

About Me

Friends from birth, Nyssa, Harry and Zack have always played together. Whether raising hell at the neighbourhood dancehall, duking it out with the local gang of toughs or cutting class to play cards and throw rocks through glass windows, they've done everything together. They've only ever been apart from eachother in their musical endeavours. The Brothers Burgess, Harry and Zack, dabbled in punk rock, whilst Nyssa cut her teeth on an acoustic guitar and simple, heartfelt songs. Though their separate ventures were successful in their own right, for reasons unknown, something never felt quite right. Then one day, when they were skipping church to go to the record shoppe, they crossed paths with another boy, who was standing beneath a ladder. They couldn't help but notice what he carried with him; a black cat was under his arm, and a guitar was slung across his back. In an instant, the three chums knew that they had met a fellow rabblerouser in Matthew. With their numbers now swelled to four, the gang slinked off to the record shoppe, where they discovered that they shared the same musical influences...----------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ -------------- With unbridled excitement and seam bursting jubilation, the newly minted Superstitions picked up their respective instruments, and got to work. Within days they had written enough material to last them 2 decades. After having finished with the entire writing process of their careers, the Superstitions set about playing for audiences throughout the city. Their blend of country, rockabilly, girl group, 50's rock & roll, and soul brought audiences to their feet, and their peers to their knees. The Superstitions are a group with the kind of undeniable chemistry that not even a high school science teacher can find any fault with. They will have you breaking your mother's back with abandon, walking under ladders without fear, smashing mirrors with glee and taking in lung-fulls of ghoulish cemetery air without worry for your welfare...-------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------- The Superstitions...because bad luck has never been so good.
