Brief Career Summary
Born on the southside of Chicago, moved to Tchula, MS soon after, and now resides in Hattiesburg, MS. Growing up in the Delta region of Mississippi where he attended S.V. Marshall High School, he had his first disc jockey experience as a senior in the school's play. After officially choosing DJ'ing as his career 12 years ago and adopting the name DJ Sweat 2000. He has performed for numerous statewide night clubs, pool parties, picnics, step shows, concerts all over the state of Mississippi, as well as Louisiana and Alabama. "I really want to play a role in bridging the gap between Mississippi and the rest of the world." He has been nominated for DJ awards on the state level and has also been acknowledged for his skills by recieving certificates of appreciation from greek organizations at the University of Southern Mississippi. DJ Sweat 2000 is the first DJ in the state of Mississippi to be contracted by a major university and continues to be the DJ for the states Omega Psi Phi/ Delta Sigma Theta annual Que-Delta weekend, where over 30,000 people are in attendence. His mixtape "DJ Sweat Presents Mississippi Bounce Vol. 1" appeared in the Ozone magazine and was the 11 mixtape of the month in February 2006. "For years I have a solid reputation for being the man you need to bring the crowd."
DJ Sweat 2000's goal in DJ'ing is to be the best and continue to learn no matter how far he has to travel. Over the years he has worked very hard to be known as the #1 DJ in Mississippi and will continue to strive for success. DJ Sweat 2000 offers intangibles that can't be bought. He has creativity, and that makes him a force to be reckoned with.
