About Me

www.myspace.com/peekaboorevueMeggie Lou here, aka Louise La Tease, of Philly's own neo-burlesque troupe, The Peek-A-Boo Revue! Best of Philly 2008 and Miss Exotic World's Best Troupe 2008! A typical day in the life of Meagan consists of reading, primarily manga, then playing my DS, playing the piano, going to work and/or rehearsal, going out for a drink or more than two with friends to contemplate life's complications... you get the picture. Then to bed to cuddle with my stuffed animals. (Notice that I don't mention cooking or cleaning... I try to avoid both at all costs.)

My Interests

It's important to remember that before all of this, and to this day, I am at heart a modern dancer...Dancing, playing the keys, making parodies of everyone's favorite songs, watching Adult Swim, cartoons in general, lots and lots of video games (especially anything Nintendo-related), reading, crosswords, origami, itunes, animals, clothes, robots, zombies, perfectly executed plans of revenge...

Music:

Umm... i like a lot of different groups and styles... what am i listening to right now? AC/DC, Adam Ant, And One, Andrew WK, Antsy Pants, Apoptygma Berzerk, Aphex Twin, Belle & Sebastian, Bronski Beat, Cake, the Church, Covenant, Cute Is What We Aim For, Dead or Alive, Depeche Mode, (early) Devo, East Hundred, The Epoxies, The Faint, Full Blown Cherry, Funkervogt, Gogol Bordello, Kimya Dawson, the Killers, Led Zeppelin, Massive Attack, Messer Chups, The Misfits, The Moldy Peaches, Neuroticfish, NIN, Of Montreal, the Postal Service, Sasquatch, She Wants Revenge, Shiny Toy Guns, Story of the Year, Squirrel Nut Zippers, System of a Down, U2, The Used, VNV Nation, The White Stripes, Wolf Mother... the list goes on and on...

Movies:

I always did love "Annie..." ..Campy horror movies are great... so are fantastically horrible 80's movies! (Your "must see" list should include: Orgy of the Dead, Blood Diner, Chopping Mall, Dead and Breakfast, Happy Birthday to Me, and Slaughter High. Look them up on FearNet on Demand!!) Also, check our "Fido;" you'll be pleasantly surprised... The Lost Skeleton of Cadaver may be one of the best movies ever made, as well.

Television:

Comedy Central and ADULT SWIM!! ATHF, Family Guy, Metalocalypse, Home Movies, the Venture Bros., Lucy Daughter of the Devil, Perfect Hair Forever, etc etc... If I'm not watching cartoons then it's probably something nerdy like antique shows on BBC or a combination of the Discovery Channel/National Geographic/TLC/Animal Planet/Food Network... you get the point.

Books:

I'Ve been reading a lot of manga and comic books lately; if I'm not reading that, it's gotta be something really dark and really twisted - I liked reading things that make my life look almost normal.

Heroes:

This guy... and David the Gnome.

An ode to the Philly Fringe: Dana Snyder sings 'Philadelphia'

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FWCvT1lJ8F8 Found this video from last year's Fringe when Dana was in town and thought it seemingly appropriate for this, our lovely city of Philadelphia....
