About Me

Since the beguining of his career Klang, was heading in the direction of the more fresh and energetic dance music, he beguins to play just in the times of classic tracks like Donna Summer and Giorgio Moroder..s ¨I feel Love¨, and Kraftwerk..s ¨Man machine¨ (around 1978 and 1979) , since then he has been developing a taste for cutting edge dance music, doing an exclent job on the dancefloors, with his vigorizing and refreshing music selection. Something that has been present in the sound of Klang, from this very early stage, has been his way of beeing contsntly open to all the new sounds, and to the new dance music styles. Klang have been all the time in contact, with all the new directions that the electronic music was taking, and at the same time that such generes like house, acid house, techno, electropop, and hip hop, were borning, Klang was beguining to play them, as part of his sound. The quality of his work, was being reflected in the uplifting response of the crowds in the dancefloors. That..s why, gradually he started to be requested to work, as resident DJ, in some of the most famous club..s and discotheques, in México, like the Keeper (in Valle de Bravo) in 1983, Magazine in 1984, Quetzal in 1985, Taizz (in Cuernavaca) in 1987, and Mystery in 1995. During the 80..s and the first 3 years of the 90..s, Klang was the ownwer and dj, of a movil sound and music service, that Klang put together in collaboration with his brother Rafael, one of the most famous dj..s in Mexico city, during the second half of the 70..s decade. In fact Klang learn the art of Mixing, watching his brother play. It was the second half of the decade of the 80..s, and Klang have been incorporating the new electronic sounds more and more in his sets, that..s why he was one of the few mexican dj..s, that was taking the risk of experiementing playing, a good variety of this new electronic sounds, in every event, party and club that he was invited to play. This way, step by step, and thanks to his solid intention, in looking towards the new posiblities, and the new directions that this sounds were taking at that moment, Klang turned gradually in a specialist, in electronic music, alternative music, and in a wide variety of dance music. This was one of the factors that brings Klang close to the world of music production, in that times a revolution in the music production world was beguining to be more than evident, the times were changing, MIDI, the Sampler and the Personal Computers, were a Reality.
