old friends and real people
i like it all - music that's got soul, funk, a good beat...not so fond of the trendy stuff out today (boy bands and pop stars), but otherwise i probably listen to it. i'm a music junkie. my first loves were the temptations, the beatles, bob dylan, michael jackson, the dead, the doors, rush, metallica (i'm talking before they sold out), 2 pac, odb, and wu-tang. right now i am listening to a lot of devendra banhart, willie nelson, moby, theivery corporation, saul williams, ray lamontagne, outkast, explosions in the sky, king crimson, the roots, neil young, miles davis, radiohead, prince, soul coughing, beck, otis redding, sarah mclachlan, tori amos, bob seger, led zeppelin, tears for fears, david bowie, yes, sly and the family stone...but my music tastes and library are forever expanding. Pandora is pretty cool. my friend bertrand showed it to me. it's the music genome project :)
mostly horror, documentaries, or movies based on true events. favorites include silence of the lambs, house of 1000 corpses, amityville horror, das boot, k-19 the widowmaker, open water. i also like permanent midnight, the final countdown, run ronnie run, the color purple, trainspotting, animal house, lonesome dove...
most of the time the only channels i watch are court tv, a&e, the history channel, discovery, the learning channel, and cnn. i do deviate from time to time though. my favorite show is six feet under. i also like city confidential, forensic files, cold case files, american justice, the first 48, family guy, the simpsons, aqua teen hunger force, dog the bounty hunter, south park, all in the family, malcom in the middle, that 70's show, futurama, samurai jack, sponge bob square pants, sanford and son...
mostly true crime and biographies...not a huge fan of fiction...
anything by charles bukowski, cuz he's my favorite author
