I promised myself somewhere in teenage life I'd never submit to the ones I will not be like-Pantera

About Me

Ok, so now a little about me I guess. I'm Joe. I am now the new guitarist for
I am hyped in a HUGE way to be playing again and especially with such cool and talented people. It seems pretty natural since we've had a history playing shows together when Bloodmasque was out there and I've considered them bros ever since. I'm also very thankful for the very warm welcome they've given me! Expect some twisted shit on the way!
If you don't already know I was the guitarist in Bloodmasque . Bloodmasque may or may not be doing shows on a small scale in the future.

Originally, I'm from Essex, Md, but moved to WV when I was 16. I also lived in Philadelphia briefly (from Feb'04-Nov'05).
I am the proud father of two beautifullittle girls that I could talk up for days on end and I can't imagine life without them. I also am fortunate enough to have someone by my side to putup with all my mood swings, sometimes (well, often) obnoxious behavior, loud music, rants and raves, and everything else the poor girl goesthrough because of my ass! I've come to realize I am A VERY lucky man. Oh yeah, her name is Danielle (Danni) and she's #1 on my friends list.
Music and my family are what consume me. Music and family have been there for me when all else in life has failed.
Let's see, what else...my sense of humor can be misunderstood; I'm generally quiet until I'm very comfortable in my environment or when I just have nothing to say; I can be too blunt at times. I can be "PC" sometimes, while other times I'm just downright obnoxious. I guess I'm a walking contradiction. Not sure what else to say.

Top 10 Most Ridiculous Black Metal Pics Of All Time
The Other Top 10 Most Ridiculous Black Metal Pics Of All Time

Don't get me wrong...I like alot of Black Metal, but come on, this is funny!

My Interests

music, guitar, destruction, theology, peace, war, weapons, fire, beer, watchin it go, guitar

I'd like to meet:

Myself about 15 years ago

Music:

I have the opinion that there are two types of music:good music and bad music. I appreciate all kinds, and if a good song is a good song, I like it...regardless of what category it fits in. Here are just some of my biggest influences: Pantera
Sepultura

Anthrax

Slayer

Napalm Death

Morbid Angel

Sacred Reich

Ministry

Suicidal Tendencies

Biohazzard

Prong

Pre Black Album Metallica

There are tons of other influences like the original GNRold Motley Crue

of course Jimi
old Poison

Skid Row

And I'll admit it, for about a week as a kid I dug Winger...but come on, we all have our Wingers of the past.

There's so much more. Basically in one way or another I think we're all influenced by just about everything to some degree whether we like it or not, unless it just flat out sucks.

Movies:

Full Metal Jacket, All Pantera Home Videos, Rockstar, Vanilla Sky, American Psycho, all kinds of others I can't think of right now

Television:

Television??
Please explain this..."television"
Television...hmmmm

Oh yeah...you mean the corporate sponsored propaganda machine in the living room? Don't spend too much time with that...when I do though it's usually Comedy Central or documentaries.

Books:

I've heard of these...they can take up more time than this "television" right? If they don't show somebody shreddin on a guitar or show some boobies I generally have little use for them, but one book that has sucked me in for some reason here lately is The Prophesied End Time by Ronald Weinland

Heroes:

Slash was a huge inspiration early on. Later I discovered this guy

I can't even explain his impact on me...huge. Ever since I first heard Pantera way back, it always felt as though he was playing what I felt inside myself. Freaky. By the way, probably the best show I've ever seen was Pantera and Sacred Reich at Michaels 8th Avenue in Glen Burnie Md, I think it was in '92.
My father...I could write a book about him and never get the point across. A one of a kind person that always made sure I was taken care of. He always encouraged and supported my playing music, even if he couldn't connect with it or tolerate the volume ...but when he really liked something I always knew it! He always believed in me even when I didn't believe in me. Anyone who had met him knows that there has not been or never could be another.Probably the smartest person I've ever known. Although gone for over 2 years, I do and will always continue to learn from him. I MISS YOU DAD!!
Anyone with the balls to be true to themselves gets my respect in one way or another.
