Enduring and overcoming through the worst of luck, South Carolina's WHERE IT ENDS have been setting out to spread their ideals and love for true hardcore since 2003. Using what little of their own funds they had they have risked their bodies and minds for the d.i.y. ethic: touring and working, trying to make sense of a music scene that has been all but cheapened by vanity and ignorance...not to mention offering up the most intense of live shows.
Taking some influence from late 80's and mid 90's straight-edge bands and adding their own touch of modern sensibility and social commentary, WIE has strived hard to craft each song better than the last. The lyrics are a plea for change, a cry for peace, and a look into the personal struggles and thoughts that we as humans face within ourselves. The music is an unforgiving brand of heavy hardcore, sometimes emotional, sometimes dark, and always impassioned.
In 2007 the band will be releasing their first ever official release, an EP on Surprise Attack Records. Following this there is sure to be many long drives and much more hard work as they set out to gain respect, make new friends, and make sure the world remembers the name WHERE IT ENDS.
