About Me

Punk Rope is a playful, kick-ass, alternative fitness class with a rock and roll heart. Our mission is to spread the joy of play, obliterate sedentary living, especially among youth, build community, and share great popular music from around the globe.
Classes are currently offered at community centers, college rec centers, commercial gyms, and schools in 10 states, but we've also conducted classes at bowling alleys, rock clubs, art galleries, and city parks. For a complete list of venues currently offering classes, check out www.punkrope.com.
RECENT NEWS
11/23/07-Happy Thanksgiving y'all. I'm up in Portsmouth, NH contemplating stuff like school bans on tag, Cardiolates, and textercise. The conclusion: we need a fitness revolution. You've got to fight for your right to playyyyyy.
11/20/07-Our holiday rope drive is in full swing. For every T-shirt or 3 ropes that we sell, we'll donate 1 rope to a public school in New York City that has none. To purchase a rope or shirt go to www.punkrope.com and click on Punk Rope Gear.
11/19/07-Punk Rope debuted in San Francisco with Heather Robinson at the helm. The students loved it. Go Heather!
11/18/07—Nippon TV filmed our Universal Children's Day class at the 14th Street Y in New York City as well as our post-class happy hour at Otto's Shrunken Head.
