Ketch A Vibe While The Feelin's Live...Don't Wanna Lose It...

About Me

What up!?! It's me, Lady K here spreading the love. I am local Washington, DC area singer. You must check out my band WILDFLOWER sometime(see my calendar below) and I also get down with the SOUNDPROOF BAND.Music has always been in me. I listen to any and everything from Hip-Hop, R&B and Gospel to Jazz, Opera, Rock, Reggae, Latin and Country. I was fortunate enough for my parents to introduce me to Soul music. I developed a love for Rock, Reggae and Jazz from my brother, Howard “Kingfish” Franklin, Jr., an established musician in his own right. So what can I say about hip-hop? The year was 1993 and my girl Aja and I were partying with The Blastmaster...KRS-One down at the W.U.S.T. (ya’ll know it now as the 9:30 Club). KRS-One pointed to me in the crowd and said….”Now there’s a real hip-hopper.” Truly, one of the greatest nights in my life! WOW! Music truly moves the soul. Whether it’s Jimi conversing through his guitar, the angelic harmony of Minnie’s voice (which can reduce you to tears), Jill Scott bringing back ol' skool love, Fantasia or Karen Clarke-Sheard taking you to church or hearing the soul of Anthony Hamilton.I’ve been singing since high school. I’ve performed in numerous local clubs in the Washington Metropolitan area as well as Philadelphia, PA. I’ve also had the pleasure of performing with some incredible singers and musicians, including Omar, Dawn Robinson, Norman Connors, the late Nathan Heathman and tons of talented local artists that are true greats in their own right. I am just thankful to God for the gift of hearing music, feeling music, singing music and living music.Much Love, Lady Kfound this music layout at HOT FreeLayouts.com
