About Me

possibly narcoleptic. apparently have a midwestern accent...

My Interests

YOLO! printmaking, embroidery, cut and paste design, knit and crochet, and a slew of other tedious and obsessive hobbies to remind myself that carpal tunnel syndrome does indeed exist. i also like bright colors, mexican folk art, paper placemat drawings, crossword puzzles, beer (especially belgian beer), vintage fabric, neck scarves, cookies and cake, sparkly things, indian buffets, fresh fruits and vegetables, old magazines, tea, clip art books, vintage christmas cards, records, shoes, angora sweaters, my cat Dagger, and daniel santoro.

I'd like to meet:

anthony bourdain and christopher walken

Music:

rawk n' roll, old country, soul, garage, new wave, surf and instrumentals... it's all rock n' roll. i will never rule out any particular genre. i love to find a bizarre-looking thrift store record, bring it home and put it on my pink record player and find that it's a long lost gem. i'm very drawn to music that is sung in other languages. everything from 60's indian pop to mariachi to 70's euro punk. i LOVE to dance, so if it gets me shakin', it's good.

Movies:

documentaries, monster movies, the occasional chick flick and animated feature. i like to see movies on "the big screen."

Television:

new york public access shows. project runway! no reservations. top chef. simpsons. pretty much every HBO show.

Books:

mainly ones filled with pictures. i am also known to read the occasional novel. subway fodder.

Heroes:

my deemom, the toughest red-haired german/irish amazon you'll ever meet, even at age 84.

spring cheese
