My real name is Usher Raymond IV. I was born on October 14, 1978 in Chattanooga, Tennesse. When I was 12, I moved to Atlanta with my family. I first sang in a church choir my mom led when I was 6. I was discovered at a talent show by a record executive from LaFace Records. They signed me while I was still in high school; never did I drop out for a singing career. My first album was released when I was 16 in 1994. In 2004, my latest album, Confessions sold more than 2.8 million copies since its debut. Personally, I think this was my best selling album.Not just am I a singer and a dancer. I also play small parts as an actor. I appeared in The Faculty, Light It Up, Texas Ranger, and She's All That.I used to date Chilli from TLC and honestly, I miss her so much.
These are my number one fans from the QWCC foundation. I am really glad to see that my music has reached even those who are mentally challenged and I'm really proud to have attracted such fans. It really hits my heart to see my music bring joy to those who are not as lucky as everyone else.
