Solitude is impractical and yet society is fatal.

About Me

Spattered with bruises, cuts, scars and an occasional lost hair follicle, my body has become a canvas of my adventures. I usually have no idea how I acquire the designs as I might be the accidental artist but I think when I'm asleep the boogeyman comes out and beats up on me. Or I'm just notoriously clumsy.
I like to discuss movies after going to the cinema. If I don't have that juicy, in-depth conversation dissecting the premise and the messages of the film , it feels like unfinished sex.
I'm very good at tangents. I can start a tangent off of another tangent.
My mind may be utterly complex but I really, really love simple things.
I have rough hands. And I'm not apologetic if you don't want to hold them because of it.
I don't wash my hair everyday and I loooooove to cook for friends and family; except for my mom because she always outdoes me. Sorry to mention "not washing hair" and "food" in the same sentence.
I like to buy the bananas that people rip off the bunch they end up buying. You know, the singles just left sitting there. I feel like I'm adopting the runts of the litter and I feel sorry for them.
If I had 2 bananas (runtnanas) and one was a bit more spoiled than the other, I would give a friend the nana in better condition. And never tell them that I did.
I don't even know why I'm thinking of bananas right now. I rarely eat them whole anymore. I just throw them in the Magic Bullet and make almond milk/nana, cinnamon shakes with them. But it seems so much of my life's beliefs reside in a phallic-shaped, yellow fruit.
-----------------------------------------
I love, love, love the outdoors and climbing, anything dealing with the arts (music, cooking, painting, photography, fashion, writing, etc) and my bike/riding...
MY CREATIONS...
My Photography...
My Salvation...
I'm convinced mountains are spires used to reach the heavens.....
In West Africa
My greatest love is Nature. Nothing beats fresh air, trees, sand, rock, the ocean....all of these that we take for granted and quickly learning that are absolutely fragile and not necessarily forever. If we neglect it, it will be gone before we know it.
My Insanity...

I love all things "life". It's both my cure and my disease.

My Interests

Rope and metal, words, satiated palates, colorful palettes, tree and flower, rock and ice, wanderings, two-wheel transporters, rhythms, escapes, giving.....living.

Jill of all trades; master of none. I love everything.
I love animals...every kind. They are so cool to just poop in front of us and not give a shit. I'm sure if I live to be 90 I'll be at that point.

My friend Monkie's cat, Junkie

"A human being is a part of a whole, called by us 'universe', a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest... a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty." - Albert Einstein

Nice folks.

Music:

The best music has to be from the country/folk singer pygmies out of the Kandubayoba rain forest who perform heavy metal covers. Seriously. Best music ever.

Movies:

I love silent movies (Fritz Lang, Murnau), Buffalo 66, Blade Runner, The Bothersome Man, Stanley Kubric's Clockwork Orange, 2001, THe Shining, Terry Gillima's Brazil, Adventures of Baron Munchausen, Time Bandits, Dune, Amelie, Miyazaki's Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle, American Beauty, Girl Interrupted, Somewhere In Time, The Color Purple, documentaries, cheesy 80's movies (according to 'Logan's Run' this would be the year I would submit to Carrousel)....anything that leaves an impact on me to make me think, make me emotional...or make me pee in my pants.

Television:

I don't watch tv. I only nanu-nanu.

Books:

I'll read anything that's legible and intelligible....even the writing on the wall.

Heroes:

Anyone who can tame me...

and all the great people I've met in my life (including all those on my friend's list); humans that make mistakes, learn and evolve and stay positive. The 80 year old lady I met in the bathroom in China that makes about $5.00 a day wiping down toilets and mopping the floor for over 8 hours a day. My childhood playmate Janet who was diagnosed with leukemia at 19 and died a couple years later and never gave up for a second. She laughed on her deathbed and told her family not to be sad. My friends from myspace and those in real life spread out all over the globe. My mother, my stepfather and anybody who'd be willing to love me and the next person unconditionally. And Cookie Monster....for being able to eat as many cookies as I eat but he just never seems to gain any weight.
