Vimana - Elio D Anna Jr

..The strength of Vimana lies in its ‘Cultural, Philosophical and Stylistic’ merging. Elio D'Anna Jr, former of Vimana, was born in Italy and met Dee (aka D-Code and now BBC Radio 1 DJ / Presenter) in the early years of University in London. Rick Walsh (UK) and Ghost (Brazil) joined the project with their extensive Studio and Live experience.In 2004 & 2005 Vimana performed at Glastounbury Festival with Shiva Soundsystem followed by a Tour in Goa and Bombay for MTV India with the same.In January 2005 the track ‘Beneath the stars’ was selected for the Compilation Album One night in bloom Vol.1 by Amiata Records selling over 10,000 copies.In the summer of 2005 Vimana licensed their track ‘So Alone’ (feat. Sertab Erener-Eurovision’s winner) for the European School of Economics MTV commercial, shooting the video in the legendary Cinecitta' studios in Rome.In May 2006 the track ‘So Alone’ is played on BBC Radio 1's show One-World and on a regular basis on the, presented by Nerm from Shiva Soundsystem and along-side artists such as the Prodigy and Nitin Sawney.In early 2007 Vimana signed a publishing deal with Appleby / Universal Publishing Music Group for their material.Currently the band is working with world known Producer / Mixer Lior Goldenberg for their up-coming album release.
