MyGen Profile GeneratorWell this is my profile as the drummer of our band Take the Fifth. JohnP and I originally started the band years ago as just the two of us recording songs onto an ancient 4 track tape recorder.
Over the years we gradually recruited people to join us and what was a bit of fun has now become serious. With Simon and Rob, who have been with us about 2 years now, we discovered some real dedicated guys who can seriously do their stuff!
The band has gigged all over the place but its only now that we are really starting to seriously record and pursue our music. This year its time to get back out playing again after spending a good few months developing new material, and make sure we develop some interest and get ourselves some more fans from all over the place.
The music is mostly written by John P and we work together to play it as a band. The songs take in a lot of influences from John's life, surroundings, thoughts and feelings and then are transferred from the vision into reality by all of us working together.
The tunes on here are a sample of a load we have just recorded in our practice room. They were recorded and mixed by myself so along with being the drummer, studying full time and i'm also a wannbe producer too! Its a busy life, hopefully soon to get busier! When i do get spare time i end up playing with my motorbikes, Mk2 Golf, football, random walks, computers and beer!
