Vickanie was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. . She spent the earlier years of her life traveling the world as a military child with her family. She graduated from Matthew C. Perry High School in Iwakuni, Japan. The same day she received her diploma she asked her father for one thing. A plane ticket to move to New York City. That summer Vickanie decided that she was going to take matters into her own hands and take on the "Concrete Jungle" on her own. After spending two years in this hard city alone. She decided to move to the suburbs of PA, where she still resides.Two college degrees later Vickanie decided after surviving cancer that she was going to be a Model. Being a plus size Latina her whole life was not easy nor was she ever really accepted. With no training she went out on a limb and took on the world of Fashion. Two weeks later she got her first modeling job for two designers during New York Fashion Week Sept. 2005. The next day she got her second job modeling for Monif C. Clothing release party. After that the jobs started rolling in.However, Vickanie had more dreams and aspirations on her mind. While continuing to build a name for herself in the Fashion Industry as a model, she is constantly taking steps toward her second love.
