I am here for Networking

About Me

I am a web designer (and an out of work DJ) who loves art, music, writing, reading, comedy, op shop searching, crappy cable tv shows, making mix tapes, singing and dancing around my loungeroom like a dickhead, and jumping up and down on my trampoline.I am involved in various aspects of the comedy industry as a promoter, producer, manager, web designer, and publicist...Also, I do open mic when I get the chance (not often!).My latest project is, "Rocky Comedy". To read more about it, click here! You can check out the myspace and website design I have done for my clients, as well as their testimonials by clicking here.

My Interests

Observing stupid people. Interacting with crazy people. Walking around aimlessly. Being an internet nerd.

I'd like to meet:

Mika...ahhh. Brilliant first album, plus a fabulous artist - LOVE his work! Cute too. Shallow? Me? Never!!!Stephen Colbert. This man really scares me, but perhaps Jane Fonda can give me some tips on man handling him. See video of Jane fondling a nervous Colbert by clicking here! - it's ace!
Henry Rollins. Henry Rollins is an awesome, awe inspiring, extremely intense person who can make me laugh but also make me cry. I have read a few of his books, heard heaps of his music, and also listened to a lot of his spoken word stuff. It is like Henry is ripping thoughts right out of my head and putting them on paper or saying/screaming them out loud.Steve Irwin. Well..I would have *liked* to have met him...He was awesome!Bert Newton. Australian comedy god whose talents are currently being wasted on a crappy Channel Nine game show.Richard Branson. A person with a great sense of fun and adventure and off the wall business ethics. Read his fantastic book "Losing My Virginity" for the biography of this very interesting man.Hugh Riminton. Mr Hugh is not only a highly respected journalist, but as I found out, he is also a top bloke, with a wicked sense of humour! For more information on this, check out my officially unofficial Hugh website here .Dr Phil. He is very funny and clever and I am in dire need of therapy. Need I say more?

Movies:

I don't see too many films, but my favourite is "Dogs In Space". An awesome Aussie film starring Micheal Hutchence. The film has a lot of humour and interesting characters, and is interwoven with a strong message about the effects and consequences of drug use.Other films I like...Short Circuit 1&2, Charlie and The Chocolate Factory (original), Gremlins 1&2, Annie. Yes, there are more, but I shall stop before I embarrass myself anymore!

Television:

The Colbert Report, Nip/Tuck, Stand-Up Australia, Judge Judy, and anything with Steve Irwin in it. I also like various shows on Foxtels "CI", "Animal Planet", "W", and "Comedy" channels.

Books:

I like reading true stories/biographies. For example...there are two great books about the wonderful work of Father Chris Riley who has done so many amazing things for kids who have had a really rough start in life.Bryce Courtney's, "April Fools Day", and Roberta Sykes, "Snake Dreaming" are also fantastic books. There are many more great books - these are just some. I also enjoy reading books by Dean Koontz, Richard Laymon, Steven King, Danny Wallace, and anything from the Purple Ronnie brand.

Heroes:

Father Chris Riley of Youth Off The StreetsSteve Irwin Favourite VideosI am in the process of putting together a collection of my favourite myspace videos. They can be found by clicking here. One of my favourites is below...Kermit - The Rainbow ConnectionHere's the words if you want to sing along! :)Why are there so many songs about rainbows
And what's on the other side?
Rainbows are visions, but only illusions,
And rainbows have nothing to hide.
So we've been told and some choose to believe it
I know they're wrong, wait and see.
Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection,
The lovers, the dreamers and me.Who said that every wish would be heard and answered
When wished on the morning star?
Somebody thought of that, and someone believed it,
And look what it's done so far.
What's so amazing that keeps us stargazing
And what do we think we might see?
All of us under its spell,
We know that it's probably magic...Have you been half asleep?
And have you heard voices?
I've heard them calling my name.
Is this the sweet sound that calls the young sailors?
The voice might be one and the same
I've heard it too many times to ignore it
It's something that I'm s'posed to be...
Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection,
The lovers, the dreamers, and me.Laa, da daa dee da daa daa,
La laa la la laa dee daa doo...
