About Me

I'm a songwriter/producer in Pop/RnB, but my influences stem from soul/rock/RnB/funk/jazz.....all over the place. Originally trained as a classical pianist, I got fed up with that and decided to persue 'real' music about 8 years ago. Thank God!I work as part of a production team with a writer/producer/mix maestro by the name of Louis Read, and various other musical masters (you know who you are!)Let the music play on....

My Interests

Music (strangely enough), socialising, laughing, social drinking, eating also comes in handy, talking excessive amounts of bollocks, laughing a bit more, um.....sun-seeking......frisbee.....helping old ladies cross the road

I'd like to meet:

Other people in the music/film biz, or who can make me laugh. I have difficulty dealing with people who are too serious, they make me laugh too, but in the wrong sort of way. No pressure though!

Music:

Stevie Wonder, Led Zeppelin, vintage Michael Jackson, almost any track produced by The Neptunes or Dr Dre, Queen, Donny Hathaway, Herbie Hancock, Justin Timberlake, Snoop Dogg, Hamish Stuart Band, Jamiroquai, Hans Zimmer, The Rolling Stones, early Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Quincy Jones, most jazz funk.... just don't let me hear the drone of bloody Coldplay, or I may break something....badly.

Movies:

Leon, Ocean's 11, Gladiator, Face/Off, LA Confidential, Bad Boys 1/2, Lock Stock..., Grosse Point Blank, Die Hard, James Bond, those classic Clint Eastwood westerns, Memento, Blow. A mix of those sorts of films and silly comedies like: Austin Powers, Shrek, South Park, Old School, Carry On films (some, not all of them).

Television:

Why is most TV so shite? The only good stuff is comedy really- Have I Got News For You,Blackadder, The Simpsons, Alan Partridge, Little Britain, Ali G, anything that pushed the limits of political correctness. That aside, anything with Eva Longoria in it

Books:

Hmmm. Can't think of any, so I guess that means I should read more? The last book I read was The World According to Clarkson, which was fantastic. Can't imagine it winning the Booker Prize though.

Heroes:

Boris Johnson (what a ridiculous human being), Jeremy Clarkson, Jerry Bruckheimer, Jeremy Paxman (what is it about people called Jeremy?) Johnny Vaughan, Steve Coogan, Syd James. Musically it would have to be: Stevie, wacko Jacko (when he wasn't shite), Herbie, Quincy Jones, Mick Jagger, Clapton, Pharrell....
